WORRIED ABOUT BABES

Hi. It seems Babes is acting weird. I mean, not herself. She barks constantly. Any movement from outside, and she goes crazy. She gets enough exercise and discipline, but it does no good. Lately she's nervous, over-reactive, and skiddish. Any ideas on what I can do? Your input would be appreciated.

Is she a guide dog? If so, then there are ways of getting her to calm down, like food rewards and things like that. Are you having weird weather like thunderstomms? New people in the neighborhood? New dogs/cats/other pets that roam around outside?
Just some thoughts.

Has there been any changes in her life? (Like what was mentioned above, new dogs in the neighborhood, different weather, etc. or anything else around the house)

Also you might consider taking her to the vet, a surprising amount of behaviors can be caused by underlying health conditions.

A holistic approach to calming her down (and recognized widely in the dog world) is by giving her a few drops of "Rescue Remedy", rubbed into her gums for immediate calming, or just put into her water for less serious occasions. It's a solution of flower and herb extracts, so you'll have to look around at natural health type stores to find it, but it really does work!

Well, the weather here has been stormy a lot, and some new people moved in upstairs. I'll try that "rescue" remedy. The vet suggested an infant's dose of Benydril, but I like the "rescue" suggestion better. I just took her to the vet, and she was fine. Thanks so much for your advice.
